Campus Recruitment through Placement Cell

  • The Practice

  • Evidence of Success

Objectives

  • 1. To foster a sense of competition among the students.
  • 2. To encourage and inspire students to obtain employment through competitive exams.
  • 3. To equip students with a global perspective.
  • 4. To increase the participation of female students in competitive exams.
  • 5. To prepare rural youngsters for hiring in the public and private sectors.

The Context

The institution is dedicated to helping its students succeed. The college's Vision statement “Provide a distinct environment of excellence in value-based and career-oriented education for all segments of society” is quite clear. The college accepts students from underprivileged and economically underprivileged segments of society. Colleges have made some excellent progress in raising their financial situation. The placement cell, IBPS centre, and centre’s for preparation for competitive exams are all actively working to advance the education of the students. Students benefited from free coaching provided by the institution. Many students have enrolled in AGS Health Services during the academic years 2016–17 and 2017–18, which has improved their economic situation. The establishment of competitive tests and a placement cell was a beneficial step the institution took to improve the economic position of the students, and the parents of the adjacent villages commended the college for it.

The Practice

Institutional placements have a strong history at the college. The college takes its responsibilities towards the candidates for providing employability. It offers a private area with a computer, fast internet, a printer, and a variety of books, periodicals, newspapers, and online resources. The purpose of expert lectures is to help students improve their communication and leadership abilities. The college's cultural department runs a variety of competitions and activities to help students develop their inner potential and talents. The college arranges many activities and training programs to help students strengthen their interviewing tactics, communication skills, and personalities.

Evidence of Success

The college has been actively promoting student welfare for the previous three years. The Career guidance cell of the institution is assisting them in increasing their self-assurance and developing a favorable attitude towards the tests. Successful former students return willingly to inspire current students during lectures. Students apply for various occupations every year. As a result, the current students find inspiration in them, and the college is known for this accomplishment in the area. It significantly enhances the college's capacity. Students who have demonstrated their aptitude in competitive exams and have been successful in landing jobs speak highly of the value of such courses.

Problems Encountered and Resources Required

The college is situated amidst a semi-urban setting. People still adhere to and carry out traditional customs nowadays. They are in the dark and follow blind belief. The task for the college is to teach students about the flow, bring it to light, and help them be ready for the difficult exams. The majority of female college students were married while still enrolled. Despite the fact that the college persuades the parents at the parents' meeting to support their children's higher education, they lack the awareness despite participating in awareness programs. On the other hand, the college is in quick contact with the local organizations, alumni, and officers holding high-ranking positions.
